I started playing piano when I was 8 years old and quickly decided I wanted to play the saxophone - which of course led to needing to play the flute and clarinet as well!
After having my own daughter in 2020 I put my skills to good use to keep her entertained during the many lockdowns and the lack of baby classes available during that time.
As life began to return to some kind of normality I realised that there weren't really opportunities for babies and toddlers to experience real music and instruments.
I wanted something with a little more oomf to it, and I thought maybe other parents would like that too!
Missing out on the social aspect of going to baby classes and playgroups made me appreciate the importance of these things for the parents as well. I wanted a class where it was ok to chat, to feed, and to ask questions,
So I started Rattle & Hum Music, classes where babies and toddlers get to really interact with music and different instruments. And a place where you don't feel rushed out at the end to make way for the next group.
If that sounds like something you'd like, then take a look around!
The ups and downs of navigating the new world of baby classes, nurseries, toddler tantrums, and the suddenly more important traditions! Have a read of my blog to learn more about me and why I started baby music classes in the first place.
